What ‘gear’ do i need for a 125cc?
I’m getting a Honda CBR 125 and i’m just wondering what protective equipment i need?
I like these boots (links below) but would they be too much on a 125?
Also would gloves,helmet,boots and a jacket be enough protection?

I’m not looking at the pics because nothing is too much. Come off any bike at 50 mph and the gravel rash is the same be it 125 cc or 1250cc
You need fully armoured motorcycle textile or leather clothing with proper motorcycle gloves, boots and helmet. You may need different types for different weathers or ones with removable linings and a full waterproof over suit.
You will need 2 pairs of gloves, one for winter and one for summer as ones that are good enough for winter will be too hot for summer and visa versa. You are likley to need a pair of inner gloves too if the bikes handlebar grips are not heated.
You will need at least one set of waterproof boots – you may need just that one set.
You will also need some form of closure at the neck and again maybe 2 as you need something there in summer and winter – you may think you don’t need anything in the summer but the first time a bee or wasp head buts your neck at 50mph you will wish you were wearing something.
Decent protective kit is expensive and often overlooked when people buy bikes for the first time. Could cost as much as a used 125 cc but looked after properly most of it will be OK for the next bike too.
