Motorcycle Accessories
The first thing we usually ask a motorcycle vendor is to throw some free accessories when we buy the bike. It has been a habit to accessorize our bikes because we want them to have a personality of their own. We love to give the bike its own special identity. A whole industry has spawned dealing only with motorcycle accessories.
There are many different motorcycle accessories in the market today. You can see different helmets and helmet accessories, motorcycle stickers, tail boxes, seats, clothings, baskets, locks and many others. For every category, there are different styles, designs and brands.
Helmets
Helmets are one of the most important of all motorcycle accessories you will ever need. Road safety requires that all motorcycle riders, not just the drivers, wear industry-approved safety motorcycle helmets. Many helmets have different accessories by themselves and they come in all shapes, sizes, weight, colors and designs. There are helmets with built in speaker phones or bluetooth. Some cover only the top part of the head but the best are those which envelops the whole head. A poor quality helmet is like wearing no helmet at all in case of deadly impacts.
Motorcycle jackets
Heavy leather jackets may also be sold at motorcycle accessories shop. It is also very wise to invest in them. Among the many functions of a very good leather motorcycle jacket is for safety. Many skin injuries and scrapes could have been avoided if they wore safety-standard motorcycle jackets that are thick and sturdy enough to withstand ordinary falls and slides. I know of one who had to spend thousands of dollars in skin grafting surgery if only he invested in a good quality leather jacket.
This safety gadget may not pass for an accessory but get them anyway at your nearest motorcycle accessoriesshop. It is a very small price to pay for securing your expensive bike when you install a motorcycle alarm. It gives a sense of confidence when leaving it in unguarded places. Although motorcycle alarms are a deterrent to theft, it still pays to park them in guarded spots.
Motorcycle Seats
If you do not like the OEM supplied seats, there are varieties of aftermarket motorcycle seats that can be custom built for your bike. After all, it is still your butt that will use them.
Motorcycle baskets and tail boxes
You can choose from a wide array of baskets and tail boxes which are useful for carrying many things. Just make sure that you don’t leave expensive things in them. Just the same, invest on good locks.
Motorcycle stickers
These are some of those non-necessity motorcycle accessories that are good to have on. This gives the motorbike the personality that we have been talking about. This makes sense too considering the thousands of look alikes your bike might have. A decal or a bright red flame sticker sign can make your motorcycle stand out.
LED Lights
To get those envious looks, try the LED light kits from your friendly motorcycle accessories shop that will definitely make onlookers salivate. A word of caution: your girlfriend might love your bike more than you.
